The Rumfelt "Path to Amnesty" Plan

posted Aug 16, 2012, 3:19 PM by Jon Rumfelt
So from time to time I post political items on FaceBook. Seeing how they support Obama and censoring anyone who is against him, I thought I'd move my posts to my website. So here is one of them. Another to follow.

Oblabla's Dream act, who does it grant legal status too? It claims "illegal immigrants who came to the US as children, graduated from high school, and stayed out of trouble." It then goes on to say that 800k people will be effected by this. Keeping the stereotypical response to myself, let's look at one key factor at proving the requirements:
1-Was brought to the US before the age of 16 and are st
ill under 30 - Ok, plausible
2-Graduated HS or received GED - plausible
3-No criminal history - again, plausible, but keeping stereotypes degrades the numbers
4-Joined the military - WHAT? When I joined the Military, I had to provide my social security card, birth certificate, HS diploma, AND my drivers license (or alt ID). If they are here illegally, how can they legally join the military without falsifying their identity? Which points back to no criminal history. NOT POSSIBLE!!
5-Have been in the US for at least 5 continuous years - If you are doing something illegal, you don't want proof. How does someone prove they have been here five years without incriminating themselves? Or does the dictator in chief plan to accept references? again NOT POSSIBLE!!

Obama's dream act is just that, a dream... actually, a BAD dream! Not only did he bypass the LAW by enacting this dreadful bill, he bypassed it for nothing. Based on #5 alone, this bill will apply to absolutely ZERO illegal immigrants. The claims of 800k are bloated, just like the number of jobs created by this administration.

So what would the Rumfelt version of the Dream Act be?

For those who are in the US illegally, here's how we get you legal:
1- Deportation placed on hold for 6 months (could be extended based on office work load)
2- Immigration offices and offices issuing Visas near the Mexican border will be double or triple manned during the 6 month period
3- Border Patrol manpower doubled or tripled to prevent NEW illegals from entering. And let them exercise lethal force if necessary and justified (which it is if they are not entering legally)
4- Illegal immigrants are granted access without prejudice to assistant in applying for visa and eventual legal citizenship. Those detained will also have to go through this process, even if they are in jail.
5- Illegal immigrant's applications are given rush status and a temporary visa issued on the spot while application is processed for verifiable information
6- Visas are not a valid form of ID to vote or to register to vote, but are valid for applying for other forms of ID necessary for working in the US.
7- After 6 months, the deportation hold is lifted, Immigration offices return to normal manning, and law enforcement is granted permission to require valid ID of anyone in violation of, or suspected of, any law that would require temporary detention (eg, being pulled over for no seat belt, etc).
8- Any immigrant detained without possession of a valid visa (permanent/temp), is then detained and the immigration office is notified to begin investigation of deportation.

Regardless of age, if you are here illegally, you are breaking the law. Become legal, or get out!
